Anchor Steam Beer Debuts  ‘Orange Splash’ For San Francisco Giants’ Baseball Season

Today the Giants led 3 consecutive home runs against the Milwaukee Brewers laying down the tone for the season ahead and to celebrate, Anchor Steam Beer has come out with another exclusive flavor to support their home team. Go ahead and drink happily — We are giant.

What a better way to start out the season by popping opening a fresh cold beer that literally cheer’s for our home team. Orange Splash is a tribute to the legendary SF Giants that have won the world series in 2010, 2012, and 2014. This is the must-pick-up brew this season because once it’s off the shelves, it’s off for good.

“Collaborating with the San Francisco Giants has been a longtime dream for me and many fellow brewers at Anchor,” said Anchor Brewmaster Mark Carpenter.   “Anchor Steam is San Francisco’s beer, and I think it’s fitting to brew one celebrating San Francisco’s team.  For Giants Orange Splash Lager, we wanted to create something as unique and special as the Giants themselves.  We did this by combining a blend of Pale 2-Row, Caramel, and Patagonia Malts with Apollo, Bravo, and experimental hops.”

So what is the main flavor you ask? You guessed it, citrus. Combined with the lingering taste of hops and zest, this drink of champions is perfect for the summer long season. “It is only fitting that through our partnership, we have collaborated with Anchor Brewing to create the first-ever Giants beer,” said Jason Pearl, Giants Senior Vice President of Sponsorship and Business Development.   “We believe that the name, Giants Orange Splash Lager, proudly connects our two historic institutions and will make fans proud to enjoy this special beer.”

Fans can pick up a pint of Giants Orange Splash Lager now on tap at the Anchor Brewing Beer Garden at The Yard, located in Parking Lot A adjacent to AT&T Park, through October.
