Off the Menu: Welcome to Potrero Hill, Anchor Public Taps

May your taste buds rejoice and your liver groan, as San Francisco’s very loved Anchor Brewing has finally opened its first official brewpub. Huzzah!

Bring your friends, roommates, coworkers and yes, dogs(!) to the corner of Mariposa and 17th in Potrero Hill to toast to the new taproom. While you can find Anchor taprooms in and around AT&T Park, this is the first opportunity Potrero neighbors will have to sample the company’s beers without taking a private tour. Anchor Brewing makes Anchor Steam, Liberty Ale and other hop-tastic beers.

In addition to Anchor’s full range of beers, guests will get to try out some “experimental brews” made in an offsite seven-barrel brewhouse called the Potrero Project. Food trucks will camp out to keep your drunchies at bay.

Once you’ve got your favorite brewski in hand, roam the mini beer museum, which showcases Maytag’s collection of vintage beer cans from around the world.

// Anchor Public taps, 495 De Haro St, Dogpatch, open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Ramon Tamayo, Lead Brewer, Derek Hunter, Director of Hospitality, and Dane Volek, Pilot Brewer.
