In this period of hate and heartache, the de Young Museum is offering a free admissions day to all who need art in their lives.
Come celebrate love, tolerance, and diversity at the de Young museum this Valentine’s Day weekend. Join the team on Saturday, February 11th, for free general admission, activities and performances as part of the ‘One Love: A Celebration of Art and Community.’ At this Community Day, every space of the de Young will be activated with love and creativity. There’s something for everyone here!
Start the day at noon with a flash mob on the front lawn, then a circus performance by Velocity Circus in the main lobby. Enjoy live music and artful activities in specific to each gallery. Join the discussion on issues of the past and present with Bay Area veterans of the Civil Rights movement led by chief curator Julian Cox. And let the museum docents help you fall in love with our collection in Speed Dating: The Art Edition.
Enter through the front entrance to the museum and follow the signs that direct the free admission. Check out the entire events info here.
