Re-ignite your summer-time excitement with a side of popcorn and drive-in ticket.
Why does it always seem like the summer goes by in a flash after the excitement from the 4th of July? Drive-in theaters may be on the decline, but a good flick and a summer breeze never goes out of style—especially in the Bay Area, where the options are both beautifully abundant and incredibly diverse. Here’s a list of outdoor movies you can attend before frosé gives way to pumpkin spice.
Santa Cruz: Movies on the Beach, now through August 16th, 2017. Because funnel cake, ocean waves and ferris wheels make everything better.
San Francisco: Film Night in the Park has you covered from Dolores Park to Union Square — and you have until the end of September to enjoy its film roster. Pier 39 is also offering a monthly free movie night with featuring films exclusively set in San Francisco.
San Jose: Every Saturday night in August, you can head to St. James Park in San Jose for a free movie in the park for the Starlight Cinemas series.
