Off The Menu: Halal Guys Makes Camp in San Francisco [UPDATED]
What we thought was a long-time dream built forever in the reaches of Berkeley, Halal Guys finally open their Brick-and-mortar store at their O'Farrell location nearly 9 months since the announcement. Since operating with Caviar exclusively, the New York fave is finally ready for real-life lines. It is set to open to the public on January 27. Sadly, the storefront will not be selling their famed "Angel Jizz" white sauce that LITERALLY completes the whole dish — apparently SF can't take a joke.

Say goodbye to the bacon-wrapped hotdogs of the Polk street strip and say hello to the men who perfect the falafel.
Soon to be setting up shop in the Union Square area of downtown SF, Halal Guys is considered to be the “most perfectly crafted platter of street meat there is.” Mentioned in an interview with founders, Mohamed Abouelenein and Abdelbaset Elsayed, they announced for their national expansion to lay base in both Berkeley and San Francisco.
Now, according to EaterSF, the men of Halal have set their eyes on the former Naan-N-Curry space near Union Square for its first San Francisco location.
Halal Guys will be tentatively located at 340 O'Farrell St, San Francisco, in the heart of the Tenderloin. There’s no timeline yet for the store, though it is actively hiring, which means it could be pretty soon. Thank you falafel heaven.
[Fashion Editor’s note: YAY halal guys! I’ll be there opening day!]
