A Modern North Bay Guide: As Told By a Vintner's Daughter
Napa Valley was built by a generation of dreamers; women and men that believed it would be one of the greatest wine growing regions in the world.
Through their incredible insight and hard work, Napa is that and so much more. Alongside incredible wines, Napa Valley offers some of the very best cuisine in the country. beautiful trails, music and art. I think many people believe Napa Valley is stuffy and pricey, but I would argue that there is something for everyone and when you do splurge it is worth every penny. There is a shared spirit amongst people of Napa and that is an appreciation of “the good life”, a life filled with the very finest quality food, wine, and great friends and close families. So many of the businesses here have been handed down from one generation to another and many others are new ideas from people who embrace the incredible spirit of Napa Valley. I am so honored to be a part of this special place and to get to share some of my most beloved Napa Valley places with you.

Hiking Napa Valley
There are so many beautiful hikes in Napa—though most are unmarked. So, if you see a bunch of cars parked on the side of the road for no reason, that means there is probably a well-kept secret trailhead. Pro-tip: keep your eyes and ears open while hiking through Napa.
There are now two locations of this delicious fast-casual restaurant but both hold their excellent standards above the bar. Any place you can add carnitas to just about anything, is good in my book. Pro-tip: gorgeous patio seating in the Summer. // 2770 Old Sonoma Rd, Napa, southsidenapa.com.
I love this Japanese Izakaya in downtown, Napa and the soft serve flavors are insanely delicious and creative—the toasted black sesame is still in my mind and will always be on my order. // 821 Coombs St, Napa, miminashi.com.
This is the Napa version of the SF’s ferry terminal. You can find everything that is good in one place; coffee, oysters, tacos, green juice, burgers, cheese, beer. Two major thumbs up. // 610 1st St, Napa, oxbowpublicmarket.com.
