You may have missed this island getaway on your commute into the city but the warm weather is calling for a beach home away from home!
The small brewery, Woods Island Co, brews small batches of fresh, exciting, and experimental beers, often in collaboration with the many friends they've come to know in the Bay Area’s vibrant food and drink world. The inspiration comes from far and wide, but the beers are deeply rooted in the Bay. Of course, the approach is unconventional (i.e a beach house in the most season-less cities in the country) but the work of the team is accessible and friendly: adventurous brews for curious drinkers.
Their particular "Woods Island Co" mashes together the home away from home aesthetic whilst getting absolutely day drunk. Everything from beers on tap to the occasional food truck that rolls on through, you can enjoy games, good times, and freaking Instagram worthy views of the Bay Bridge.
Woods Beer began with MateVeza, a one-of-a-kind IPA made with yerba mate, and its Mission District home, Cervecería, still anchors the company in San Francisco. But since growing into their adult legs, and now serving creative beer to the curious and thirsty at five locations around the Bay—Woods Island Co has been a secret gem that only the "in-the-know" kind relax at.
Check out the gallery below because we're heading there the minute the weather heats up!
