A beer... or seven doesn't hurt, especially during the famed #Oktoberfest.
And I got to celebrate it German-style with the GACC West group. The GACC West focuses primarily on progressive industries in renewable energies, biotechnology, nanotechnology, IT, etc. The group is the first point of contact for German companies interested in doing business in the United States, particularly on the West Coast, providing assistance through a variety of services. The Chamber also organizes business events and political delegations designed to connect German decision-makers with their U.S. counterparts. The goal is to bring German and American companies together, and thus, foster, strengthen and advance bilateral trade between Germany and the U.S.
Luckily for me, that fostering spirit happened over a few pints and many pretzels to be had. To recant my tale, I snapped the night away.
For the fifth time, the German American Chamber of Commerce brought Germany’s most famous festival to the Bay Area. I enjoyed a night of delicious German food and Oktoberfest beer, provided by Ludwig's German Table. Blow Musik! set the right tone with their traditional Bavarian polkas and the headliner Bayern Maiden brought us amazing Oktoberfest tunes.
