Shop Talk: A Walk Through Vacation on Larkin.

Harboring the rarest finds and the most eye opening garbs this side of Lower Haight - Vacation on Larkin represents what’s authentically laudable in the Bay Area. A mecca where style meets art.

Emerging from the deep vibrancy of the Tenderloin, comes a small vintage shop that carries the stories and energy of different decades - Kristin, co-owner of Vacation on Larkin, is all about real people making real garment purchases and in turn, helping create real styles. It’s getting all sorts of real.

This colorful shop is exploding at the seams with vintage Tory Burch, Adidas, Superga, and more then you could ever imagine. Going deep inside this coveted closet could make any historian of style gasp for air.

Kristin Klein founder of vacation now co owns it with Michelle Bock. They believe the space is where people from all walks of life can come and be immersed in an over flowing fountain of history. With a background in band management, Kristin carefully curates the flow of what the vintage shop buys and sells. “We don’t sell uniforms, we’re not a costume shop. We sell experiences and a lifestyle that people can make on their own.” By day, the shop operates as a hub of immense style but by night, the basement operates as one of the last true punk venue’s in the entire city.

“We provide a great space for all sorts of music, It’s open to all ages - we want it to be a space where anyone can come by, listen to cool music, and be among others like-minded.”
