Style’d SF: Design for a Modern Man

Returning to an organic design state of mind, the brilliance of WHICHKIM  - Dahae Kim, debuted her recent collection last Thursday encompassing modern cuts and authentic tailoring.

Inspired by the Leonardo Glass Cube structure in Germany, Kim expressed her inspiration in this new collection of men’s basics and structured silhouettes. “It reflected exactly what I wanted to express. The combination of the pristine color palette, the organic graphic elements, and the sharp construction, all meet to become an entity all on its own.”

Kim commented that she desired to return to her bespoke tailoring roots for this specific collection.

After receiving a BFA in Menswear Fashion Design from the Academy of Art University, Kim was chosen by the CFDA to receive a portfolio scholarship, and was awarded a San Francisco Fashion Award for Best Emerging Menswear Designer of the Year in 2012. She has lead product design and development for startup fashion companies, as well as instruct and lecture in several college courses in Design, Merchandising, and Management departments - among them the Raffles International College in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
