Cinyo de Mayo And Hella Dance Parties Await You This Weekend
Another weekend, another treat for your stomach.
A margarita rumble (no, seriously) with San Francisco’s best marg spots is happening, as well as a bike-riding Tour de Pizza and a dance festival in Oakland. Things not to forget to bring: an appetite and a good freakin’ attitude.
There’s about to be a rumble on the west side
When: Saturday, April 28th, 1 P.M. - 9 P.M.
Where: The Village
Why: Because margaritas. Some serious SF favorites, including Tropisueno, Tacolicious, and West of Pecos, are going sombrero to sombrero for SF Margarita Rumble—a celebration of the city’s best margs. AKA, a good time whether you take yours on the rocks or blended. The best part is, it’s literally for charity with proceeds going to the USBG National Charity Foundation. There’s a VIP option which allows for 45 extra minutes for sippy time. Sippy straws not included. // 969 Market St.,Mid Market, tickets start at $45 and can be purchased here.
Endorphins make people happy. Just like pizza
When: Sunday, April 29th, 11:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
Where: San Francisco Ferry Building
Why: Bike through Chinatown, through Little Italy, and ultimately, past 5 pizza stops for optimal happiness this Sunday. Yes it’s free, yes there will be pizza. Bring 20 bucks for pizza, layers because hello this is San Francisco, and anything you need to make sure your bike doesn’t crap out on you. Also, bring a bike. Ultimately, this is a 15+ mile ride with hills, so sketchy brakes may not be so advisable. // 1 Ferry Building, Embarcadero, see the route.
What do you wanna do, then? I wanna dance!
When: Saturday, April 28th, 12 P.M. - 8 P.M.
Where: Jack London Square
Why: Because it’s Bay Area Dance Week! Yes, that’s a thing. This festival will showcase genres spanning from hip-hop to ballet. Adults and tots alike will perform to showcase the power of dance, and host master classes and workshops. The event will end with a large outdoor public dance party. // Broadway at Embarcadero W.
