Delish Cookie Treats & Home Alone Is What We Need This Weekend—Here's Exactly What You're Doing

It may not be Christmas Eve quite yet, but Weekend Eve is also pretty damn skippy.

Whether you’re making latkes or a gingerbread house this weekend, here are some things to do in between.

Taste test which cookies you’ll leave out for Santa.

When: December 16th, 5 P.M.—7 P.M.

Where: 498 Alabama Street

Why: Doughbies, that company that always comes through when your kaleful diet caves in on you, is hosting its first-ever holiday pop-up. They’re giving out free cookies with their in-house Doughbies Holiday blend. Get there sooner than later, though - when cookies are out, they’re closing shop.

Partake in Santacon’s sequel

When:  December 16th, 4 P.M.—9 P.M.

Where: Lush Lounge, McTeague’s, and other participating bars

Why: If dressing up as Santa Claus and stumbling from bar to bar didn’t knock the wind out of you last weekend, grab your favorite ugly sweater and let the show go on. With $3 drinks things are bound to get jolly. // Get details and tickets at crawlsf.com

Stay home with Kevin McCallister

When: December 16th, 7 P.M. and December 17th, 2 P.M.

Where: Davies Symphony Hall

Why: Now that you’re older, don’t you ever wonder how the McCallister family afforded a holiday trip to Paris for 9 people? Economic probabilities aside, Home Alone is a true holiday classic with a sentimentally memorable soundtrack. Imagine reliving the magic with a live symphony orchestra! The San Francisco Girls Choir, Ragazzi Boys Chorus and Pacific Boyschoir will accompany. // Tickets are available here.
