Summer weather is in full swing, and we couldn’t be more excited to keep doing Bay Area things this weekend. This includes plenty of food truck action, a historical walking tour, and soccer hooligans.
Party Like It's 1991
When: Saturday, July 14th, 11 A.M. - 5 P.M.
Where: 40th & Webster, Oakland
Why: Head to Oakland on Saturday for live music and local food—heavy hitters including Homeroom Mac N’Cheese, Tacos El Precioso and Kenny’s Heart and Soul Food Truck. Face painting and art activities for the kids will also be available for free.
Bastille Is The Day
When: Saturday, July 14th, 1:30 P.M.
Where: Clay St. and Montgomery St.
Why: Take a free walking tour around San Francisco in honor of Bastille Day. Did you know that French Parisians helped San Francisco blossom into a cosmopolitan city during the Gold Rush? Trace the steps of their influence as you stroll through the “Paris of the Pacific.”
World Cup Explosion
When: Sunday, July 15th, 8 A.M.
Where: Civic Center Plaza, San Francisco
Why: Get up early (or don’t go to bed the night before) and see Croatia take on France in their first World Cup final. You don’t need to know what’s going on, just bring team spirit for the country you’ve vacationed to most recently. There will also be soccer activities for kids, lawn games for everyone, and food trucks.
